BCS is a collective of qualified, registered, and experienced Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellors.
Integrative counselling means we use different theories from different types of therapy to tailor the approach specifically for you.
We believe in a personalised approach to therapy. Just as you are wonderfully unique, so too should your therapy be. We take time to understand you—your personality, learning style, relationship patterns, behaviors, background, and interests—so we can offer a range of therapeutic tools that best support your individual needs.
With training in multiple therapeutic approaches—including Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Therapy and Transactional Analysis—we offer a variety of methods that you can explore, to find what resonates with you most.
Psychodynamic Therapy: Uncovering the Unconscious
One of the methods we may use is Psychodynamic Therapy, which helps bring subconscious thoughts and emotions into your conscious awareness. Many of our reactions are shaped by past experiences, often from childhood or earlier in life, that we may not be fully aware of. By exploring these deeper feelings and memories, we can help you understand how they influence your thoughts, behaviours, and relationships today. This increased awareness allows you to make more conscious choices and learn how to manage challenging emotions.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Changing Thought Patterns
Another approach we may introduce is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. CBT helps you identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be holding you back, and develop healthier, more constructive ways of thinking. We might suggest practical tools like cognitive restructuring, thought journals, exposure therapy, or guided discovery to help you create lasting change in your life.

For our remote clients, we offer virtual therapy to individuals from all around the world. No matter where you are, we’re here to support you.
